Objectively speaking, this is not a great film, but I felt the chemistry between the two of us immediately.
I love that it’s not easily put into a category; it’s not a love story, romantic comedy or drama.
Like its title, the premise of “Drinking Buddies” seems fairly clear; yet, while there’s truth to the “drinking” and the “buddies,” there’s also truth to the fact that the buddies do not only drink, nor are they only buddies. It has no script so the conversation is almost too real – no philosophies, no punch lines, nothing you can quote. But in films, as in real life relationships, the chemistry is the most important part, although it doesn’t always play the most important role.
